Social justice is a core theme woven throughout sacred texts, especially the Bible. We often see the words and actions of Jesus, at the root, can be tied to people claiming a sense of sovereignty over their own lives and livelihoods. God did not call us to play small. God seems to do all He can to remind us that we are made in His image and that everything we need to step into our greatness is already within us. We are heirs to the Kingdom with a call to honor ourselves + our neighbors.

Artists Designing Evolution (adé PROJECT), uses art as a vehicle to actualize equity, spark creative inquiry + reclaim the narrative. The mission in action takes the form of creative placemaking projects, international cultural immersion trips, youth leadership programs, community events, public art, eco-cultural design and more, depending on the needs of the community being served.

At House of SOLEIL, every element of our work is done with well-being in mind. Our mission is to preserve and protect the legacy of nature by finding our place in it. We are a learning and teaching cooperative using the principles of permaculture design, sustainability, holistic wellness and biomimicry to build equitable communities. By working cooperatively, we embody new principles of leadership.

Mutual Aid for Churches

Too often, churches sit unused Monday-Saturday while community members scurry to find venues for meetings, artistic experiences, family gatherings, celebrations, conferences, concerts or after-hours school functions. We believe that it is possible to live in a world where faith-based spaces can be welcoming, multi-use and help close the gap on community need beyond the limitations of service times. In this new model, we also believe it is right and okay for churches and ministries to mutually benefit from its use and hope that as a result of a more “open door” policy, these spaces can gain new allies and come alive in new ways.

Here are some examples of revenue-generating, community-building opportunities that OSHANNA can help your church develop on as you do God’s work, support your local neighbors and bring in funds:

Venue Rentals

Create a venue rental program with all the documents, details and logistics you need to make the process of booking your space for family, community, public or private hands-off functions a snap!

Pop-Up Markets

Host pop-up art installations, farmers markets, food truck festivals, film festivals, trunk shows, craft markets and other one-time (but, possibly annual) events in your parking lot!

Performing Arts + Theater

Open your doors, and your A/V equipment to underground or emerging artists who may not be able to afford the big-name venues but need a place to jumpstart their careers and stay local.
