Art Builds Community.
Creativity is not just reserved for those who have chosen art as a career path. Truly, we are ALL inherently creative and use this skills every day, whether we recognize it or not. By curating more space for our artistry, we can recognize the value of what creativity brings to our lives – color, connection, vitality, excitement, purpose, curiosity, play, innovation and hope, to name a few. Once we realize all the benefits and good feelings that come from the practice of “creating” and “making”, we become 10x more likely to transfer those skills to other areas of our daily lives – at home, in school, with church, or other public spaces, like on the job. At OSHANNA, we gather people in the name of art not only because it is our God-given birthright to use the creativity that created, but also because art can facilitate healing and art builds community. Are you in?
Types of
Heart Parties:
What is a
Heart Party?
This ain’t your average sip ‘n paint! When you arrive at one of our heart parties, you’ll entire a room designed to stimulate all of your senses – sight, smell, sound, touch and taste. Art supplies will be provided and meticulously set up around the room along with strategically placed cushions, blankets and aromatherapy infusers. On tables around the room, you’ll find herbal tea, coffee, kombucha, fresh-pressed juices, mocktails or sparkling water along with allergy-friendly charchuterie boards and snacks (full-service catering also available!). Sounds of nature, lofi, jazz, Gregorian chants, gospel or flute music is likely to dance through your ears. And to top it all off, you’ll be joined by one of the top creative facilitators in the world who has designed the experience just for YOU.
Private Sessions
This option is ideal for individuals seeking to move through creative blocks, activate their sense of play and imagination or overcome hardships using a strengths-based approach coupled with creative facilitation. This is not therapy and is not a replacement for therapy. Unlike art therapy, this session serves as guidance and practice in building self-reliance and self-awareness in response to life. Note: Depending on goals of our time together, we may or may not use SoulCollage®. The chosen art activity is part of the matchmaking process.
SoulCollage®
This option is great for anyone wanting to explore the SoulCollage® practice or be re-introduced to our version of a SoulCollage® workshop! If you don’t mind joining a group of strangers (or future besties!) these are offered throughout the year as half-day, in-person gatherings. Visit the Tickets page to view what’s available or join the newsletter below for advance notices! SoulCollage® workshops can also be booked privately for groups already gathering and seeking a creative facilitator for some part of the day (i.e. baby showers, birthday parties, Bible studies, holidays or events).
Festivals+Retreats
This option is great for Teaching Artist retreats, festivals, community arts conferences, educator gatherings, professional team building activities, wellness/mindfulness retreats needing a creative offering, youth leadership programs or camps (where educators and a social worker will be present), or other events where participants have/will register in advance and are using the arts to develop soft skills. Note: Depending on goals of our time together, we may or may not use SoulCollage®. The chosen art activity is part of the matchmaking process.
